How to use

A ready-to-use water based pigment ink for dark and light fabrics: cotton, polyester, TC and TK.

1. Use a screen stretched with 135 mesh/inch and expose your design with blue photo emulsion SK-B or violet SK-V, hardened with screen hardener SK-3BPV.

2. Use a 60-65 Shore A V-blade squeegee and print 2 or more strokes of pigment ink. Dry the ink surface until just touch-dry; with a flash dryer, set 130-160°C for 3 seconds.

3. To cure, take the printed piece off the platen and dry it with a heat gun or oven until fully dry. If you use a heat press, cover the print with a Teflon sheet first and press at 130-160°C for 3 seconds with medium pressure; peel the Teflon sheet when the ink has cooled. With a conveyor dryer, set 130-160°C; belt speed depends on the length of the dryer.

Warnings

1. For better wash fastness on cotton, polyester, satin, umbrella fabric, silk, canvas or unwashed denim, add adhesion promoter SK-573 to the ink at about 3-5% before printing. Ink mixed with this promoter must be used within 8 hours.

2. Shelf life is 12 months in a closed container. Once opened it lasts less than 6 months, depending on additives, conditions and storage.
